The Rain, The Park and Other Things had massive radio play in my home city of Adelaide, SA when I was a kid. I used to wait for it to come on in the evenings. Thanks guys, for being a small and happy part of my life.

We were not able to see the movie as it is a long way away. But I would love to be able to purchase a copy. The Cowsills had a huge impact on my life and I would like to know thier story. Can you post on your site where/when it will be available for the adoring public to purchase? Thanks so much.

Thoroughly enjoyed John in another couple of Beach Boys concerts this past weekend, and was very happy to run into John & Paul. Thanks for being so gracious in posing for the photo - very nice of you both! A pleasure to meet you. Check out the photo & links back to your site at both of these sites:

Marissa and I were recently able to come across a 7" promo copy of "On My Side" on the London label. Blown away. What an amazing song !! Terrific arrangement and (as usual) those stratospheric harmonies.
Thanks for your beautiful music. We'll keep digging around for these wonderful gems ('cause we love you even more on vinyl). - Dietger

It was 1968; I was 12 years old & had gotten a transistor radio that Christmas. I think it operated on one battery. It had an ear piece and I'd fall asleep listening to the Cowsill's on WLS out of Chicago. Years later, I picked up their "Greatest Hits" on cassette tape. I grew up, went to college, spent decades in the Army and traveled the world over. Somewhere along the way I put that cassette onto a CD. I still occasionally pull it out and listen to it. What incredible memories!

I was listening to Vinyl Tuesday on a local radio station and they played The Rain, The Park and Other Things. What a great, great song. It made me very happy!

I was born in 1968 and sadly did not become fully aware of your sound or music until the early to middle part of the 1970's. Ever since the time I first heard "The reain the park & the other things" your music has been stuck with me. Thanks for all the years of great music Cowsills and thank you for making my own personal 43 year journey on this planet one filled with song, melody & beautiful harmony!
Keep on rockin guys!!!
Peace

Hi Cowsills! I've been a fan since the beginning. Bob,you were a good friend of my cousin Dennis Dunn from Middletown. I met you at "A Taste of Newport" in 2000 and we talked about it. I remember making my Dad drive all over the place trying to find your house in 1967 when we were in Middletown at a family reunion. We never found it and I cried all the way home! I had a major crush on Barry-he and Bill are sorely missed. You guys are still my fave raves. I still have all my albums (and 16 Magazines!)and Global too. Hope to see you all the next time you're in the area. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie too. Take it easy!

Are the Jayhawks paying royalties to the Cowsills? They seem to be imitating your sound. (Of course there will never be another Cowsills!!!)

After all these years "Hair" just blows me away. Does anyone know who the musicians were on that recording? Was it the Cowsills? Who played what? The vocals are unbelievable.

Running a month late here ...

Almost every year I hit the road, go out-of-towning on my birthday so nobody will feel compelled to cake me or gift me. Too many bummers and afflictions this year though, just couldn't put it together. So I reported to the office as usual on that Friday, and around 11:00am I tuned in to Dennis Miller's radio program.

Hearing Cowsills (and then Peter Noone) on with the aforementioned Mr. Miller really joyed my day. I usually keep the noise down in my office, but I expected somebody would bang on the wall when I added "my" harmony line to the live "Indian Lake" performance and turned it into a full-blast sing-along.

Well, what the hey, I'm on key. And it WAS my birthday. So who's to complain?! Hee hee hee.

As a serious 1960s BeachBoys fan, I went to their 8/11 concert in Binghamton reluctantly. The best surprise of the night was John Cowsill. Would you sing Darlin at my wedding??? There's not a lot of risk in agreeing as I'm 62 and haven't met anyone date-worthy in at least 10 years - although someone like Bruce Johnston is a possibility - if he's straight, single, and working (or gainfully retired). And as long as you're there, would you also sing Color My World? (I can get the flute, and keyboard - but a monkey could play that piano.) Please ....
