It is with
deep sadness that we report that the search for Barry has ended.
No longer is Barry missing. His body was found under a
wharf in New Orleans in late December 2005 and identified
via dental records on January 4th, 2006. The coroner has
determined the cause of death to be drowning in the aftermath of
Hurricane Katrina. Barry is survived by his siblings, two
daughters, one son and two grandsons as well as a step-daughter
and two step-granddaughters.

One of the amazing moments at the
celebration held for Barry at the Hotel Viking in
Newport, RI on February 18, 2006 were the videos produced by Louise Palanker and Ian
Broyles. If you weren't able to attend or
even if you were but would like to see them again, here they

Barry lead an amazing life and touched a great many people as
can be witnessed by the posts in his Memorial
Book. From those he knew
personally to the fans who knew him back in the 1960s as a
member of The Cowsills and those who knew him as an adult
because of As Is or from seeing him on stage in some bar
somewhere, Barry made an impact on everyone. It is not possible
to link to every site that has covered Barry's death and
memorials but here are a few of the more unique, complete or personal memories of Barry:
