CLIFF NOTES
40 Steps

Random Thoughts Written Real Fast
(by: Moss-e)

First of all, my flight from Houston to Newark was amazing on this BIIIIG Continental 777, which by my count held 700 people, all eating Meat Loaf sandwiches, and all watching "Bruce Almighty". Except me, I was watching the big video screen that kept showing the outside temperature, altitude, and the little moving plane showing where we were. Eventually I made it all the way across the map to Newark, New Jersey. Having only about 20 minutes to catch the next (third plane of the day) flight to Providence, I was almost to gate 71 (as told) when I was told it had been changed to gate 114 ...... waaaay the other direction. My plane was already full and ready to take off, but I made it, someway.

Then a short flight to Providence, where Tracy and I talked on our cell phones and waved and walked until we saw each other, Jailhouse Inn AND BOY WAS I GLAD AT THAT POINT, what a morning. Vicky soon showed up and we caught a Cozy Cab, which was literally cozy, with us and a bunch of other people, who didn't really seem to say much, with all our talking, I know they must have wondered WHO WE WERE AND WHAT IT WAS WE WERE GOING TO. 2 of the Jailhouse 4 Then to the Jailhouse Inn. What a great place. Up at the crack of dawn (BANG ON WALL TO WAKE ROOMIES NEXT DOOR), then get the delicious coffee and breakfast served downstairs, and go walking.

Sights of NewportAhhhh .. the first morning we were awakened PRE-DAWN by some extremely hysterical sounding seagulls at the window. I thought "The Birds" was filmed in California. The rest of the weekend, summed up .. the most beautiful scenery you can find, great friends, WONDERFUL FOOD. I forgot to check out the food at TORI three years ago, lol. MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC!!! Garlic shrimp ravioli is VERY VERY GOOD!! Seafood cakes at Benjamin's, a BIG FAVORITE! Really, just walking around Newport is a treat. What great food, bars, shopping. I found a store with a huge selection of new album releases. I mean lps!! 331/3 rpms!! New stuff! We had so much fun when we found that computer at the convenience store. Not that we're addicted to this website or anything.

IT WAS SO GREAT SEEING EVERYBODY. We do have fun, don't we??? WHOO HOOOO! I mean A Capella Gold, wasn't THAT amazing, they WANTED to sing for us. (That's my story and I'm sticking with it.) What a bunch of nice guys. I think it was Friday evening, Katie and I were walking around (before we got lost, as we also did Friday morning), and Marsha Jordan (who neither of us had ever met or seen) walked up to us and says "You're Katie, and you're Moss-e!!". That was an amazing conversation! She didn't run away or anything. OHHH OHH .. Bob on Sunday morning TV! That was fun! After TORI Sunday, Katie and I were forced to take this free food from the vendors, and we walking back to the Jailhouse Inn, when we sort of overshot where we were headed and sort of got lost again, and were on the way to Middleton, in our excitement, I said, "Oh, Katie...it's getting really DARK, uh, WHERE ARE WE??" Vicky soon directed us "home" by cell phone. Saturday at Billy Goode's Billy Goode's, there's a fun place! Smokin!!. Especially SUNDAY EVENING! Thanks, Barry, for including Robby and Susan and everybody, andCliff Walk US in on that! Oh, backtracking now ... THE PICNIC, what a beautiful place. THE CLIFF WALK! I totally loved it. And the church we toured, build in 1722?? Totally amazing. I could've sat in George Washington's personal seat, but it just didn't seem "right". The Picnic lol ... THE PICNIC!! Thanks for letting me play tambourine with you, Barb! I hit one really good note there! I heard it!! THE MAIN EVENT!!! TORI concerts. I just feel so LUCKY to have lucked into being lucky enough to see the Cowsills there three years ago, and all the unbelievable fun SINCE then, and then there's this year ... It was just maybe the best yet. I was totally amazed by their set list. I just admire them so much for the sheer joy they have had all their lives, and continue to have, in just making the music for the music's sake .. YOU ALL ROCK!! THANK YOU!!!! MORE MORE MORE, WE WANT MORE!!
